Two years ago, Hyundai showed the Ioniq 5 N at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Now, they are back with a new model — the Ioniq 6 N.
The Ioniq 5 N was very popular. It is a fast electric car that is fun to drive. Now, Hyundai wants to show that the Ioniq 6 N is not just a new look for the same car. It has its own special features.
Like the Ioniq 5 N, the Ioniq 6 N uses a strong twin-motor system. It can make up to 641bhp and 568lb/ft of torque. It runs on an 84kWh battery and can go up to 291 miles on one charge. It also goes from 0 to 62mph in only 3.2 seconds.
The Ioniq 6 N also has a new suspension system. This helps it handle better on race tracks. It has improved adaptive dampers (which control ride comfort), new geometry, and bigger brakes. It also has 20-inch wheels.
There are some changes to the software too. The N Drift Optimiser now lets drivers change three settings. The e-Shift system has shorter virtual gears. There is also a new “Motorsport” sound for more excitement while driving.
Visually, the Ioniq 6 N gets a new sporty look. It includes a large rear wing for downforce, a new front bumper, side skirts, and wider wheel arches. At the back, there are more air vents.
Inside, the car has special sports seats with the “N” logo. It uses the same steering wheel as the Ioniq 5 N. The ambient lights also work as shift lights to help drivers know when to change gears.
Manfred Harrer from Hyundai said:
“IONIQ 6 N combines strong power, smart battery use, great aerodynamics, and good suspension. It gives drivers speed, control, and comfort like never before.”
No price has been given yet, but experts think the Ioniq 6 N might cost less than the £65,000 Ioniq 5 N.
