When the rest of India is battling heavy rains, floods, high temperatures, and unbearable humidity, I found myself in a completely different world — Lahul, a serene and lush valley still wrapped in snow.
While news channels showed chaos in many parts of the country — overflowing rivers, flooded streets, and people struggling with extreme weather — Lahul stood calm and untouched. The region, nestled in the lap of the Himalayas, remained cool, peaceful, and beautiful.
As I walked through the snow-laden paths and saw white peaks all around me, it felt like stepping into another dimension. The air was fresh, the silence deep, and nature at its most majestic. I clicked photo that spoke a thousand words — of untouched beauty, of snow-covered mountains, green meadows peeking from under melting snow, and a sense of peace hard to find these days.
Lahul isn’t just a destination; it’s an experience. It reminded me how powerful and unpredictable nature can be — bringing destruction in some places and offering serenity in others.
This trip made me realize the importance of preserving such places. While we cannot control natural calamities, we can surely respect and protect the regions that still breathe clean and pure.
If you’re looking for a getaway that calms your soul and refreshes your mind, Lahul is the place to be. Away from pollution, noise, and chaos — just you, nature, and the mountains.
